Professor Albert Cheung-Hoi Yu, Ph.D., JP

Professor Albert Cheung Hoi Yu is a world-renowned bio-entrepreneur and scientist with over 30 years of experience in the field of neuroscience and molecular diagnostics. He received his PhD from the University of Saskatchewan, Canada and spent subsequent years in UCSF, Stanford, HKUST and Peking University. He has published 174 peer review scientific papers, several commentaries in NEJM, Science and Nature Biotechnology, and 14 books. He founded HKLife and is leading a research team to develop the BioRadar® System, an automatic diagnostic platform. He has invented numerous technologies including 76 global patents. Professor Yu has many awards such as “National Science and Technology Progress Award”, “China Cooperative Innovation Award”, “Asia Pacific Frost & Sullivan Product Differentiation Excellence Award for In-Vitro Diagnostics”, “Hong Kong Industry Award”.
His broad cross-cultural experience and an active involvement in both the academic and business create an extensive global network and contacts in China. He is now an important facilitator of dialogue regarding the development of biotechnology in Asia, putting Hong Kong onto the global biotechnology map. Recently, he pushes forward a major international biotech convention – BIOHK, so as for all of us to have a global biotech platform in Asia to showcase the accomplishments, exchange ideas, trade our products, fundraising, and more.

Ms. Josephine Ko
Ms. Josephine Ko
Josephine Ko is the founder of We Are the World and a key member of WT Global Investment Ltd and Group Talent Global Ltd. As an outstanding brand strategist, architect, and entrepreneur, she is renowned for her expertise in establishing top-tier brands, as well as her knowledge in global investments and mergers and acquisitions.
With over 30 years of experience in investment and operations, Josephine has demonstrated remarkable talent in building renowned brands and executing significant business projects. Notably, from 1990 to 1993, she successfully introduced the Missoni brand through a cross-sector collaboration with IPE in Hong Kong and China, rapidly gaining popularity in the high-end market. This initiative became one of the first cases globally to merge two distinct brands, achieving annual revenues exceeding $25 million.
Her strategic vision also extends to corporate finance; between 1993 and 1994, she played a pivotal role in the successful listing of Yunnan Baiyao on the Shenzhen Stock Exchange.
Since then, she has collaborated with industry leaders in architecture and management to establish exceptional architectural and project management firms, including Lee, Ko & Cheung Architecture and Project Management Co. and Chan Ko and Partners, while also investing in various projects.
In 2005 and 2017, Josephine co-founded WT Global Hospitality Investment Co. Ltd with Michael Chin and partnered with Principal of WHG and Frankie Wong, a former CEO at Shui On Group, to create Group Talent Global Limited. This initiative has facilitated the development of significant mergers and acquisitions for affluent international and domestic investors and create the new normal retirement and healthcare sectors.
Additionally, Josephine has established herself as a prominent commentator on global economic development, with articles published in major media outlets such as People’s Daily, Ta Kung Pao, Wen Wei Po, and Hong Kong 01.

Mr. Michael Chin
Michael Chin is the Founder of We Are the World and a distinguished leader in the global hospitality and investment sector. A former senior executive at PwC and a seasoned hotelier, Michael brings over 40 years of expertise in hotel and tourism management across the Asia-Pacific region, with a strong background in global acquisitions.
Previously serving as Executive Vice President at Westmont Hospitality Group – one of the world’s largest privately held international hotel ownership groups. Michael played a pivotal role in high-profile transactions and strategic expansions.
He is also the Founder and Executive Chairman of WT Global Hospitality Investment Co. and Group Talent Global Ltd., both of which specialize in representing affluent international and domestic investors in large-scale acquisitions. Notably, WT was instrumental in the landmark acquisition of Fairmont Raffles Hotels International (FRHI), a deal exceeding US$2.8 billion, as well as the M&A of prime Shanghai land sites valued at over US$3 billion.

Dr. Adrian Cheng is a visionary entrepreneur and philanthropist dedicated to advancing mental wellbeing and support through his leadership of The WEMP Foundation. With a profound belief in the importance of mental well-being, Dr. Cheng has focused his efforts on addressing mental health challenges within communities, aiming to reduce stigma and foster open conversations particularly for underserved communities in Hong Kong.
As the founder of The WEMP Foundation, various programmes have been initiated and pioneered to promote mental health education and literacy. Leveraging soft media such as tailored-movies for families and musicals for youths, these initiatives empower parents with knowledge about positive parenting, encouraging them to express emotions more comfortably and equip youths with positive thinking. Under his guidance, the foundation has launched awareness campaigns that highlight the significance of mental health and the resources available to those in need. Additionally, The WEMP Foundation prioritises the support to underserved families, and focuses on supporting disincentivised families whoever feel reluctant to seek for help to create genuine impact tackling deep-rooted social issues.
Dr. Cheng actively collaborates with mental health organisations and experts to deploy innovative strategies and community-based solutions. Serving as an integrated powerhouse, The WEMP Foundation actualises high-impact philanthropy under Dr. Adrian Cheng’s vision.
